Recap: Providence Christian Eagles vs. Houston Academy Raiders
The Providence Christian Eagles lost against the Houston Academy Raiders back in October of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Providence Christian had to suffer through a rough 56-14 loss at the hands of Houston Academy. Providence Christian was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 27-7.
Although Providence Christian took the loss, they still got scores from Chapel Sticker and Rylan Banner.
This is the second loss in a row for Providence Christian and nudges their season record down to 5-4. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 14.5 points per game. As for Houston Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-1.
Providence Christian will head out on the road to face off against Straughn at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Straughn will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive. Houston Academy will take on Pike County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
