Basketball Game Preview: Indiana Little Indians vs. Penn Hills Indians

For the first time this season, Indiana will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against the Penn Hills Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Indiana has three straight wins, Penn Hills has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Indiana proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 20) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Hempfield Area, sneaking past 66-63. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Little Indians have posted since January 7th.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Indiana to victory, but perhaps none more so than Aaron Webb, who posted 24 points. The matchup was Webb's fifth in a row with at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Darius Webb, who scored 18 points.

Meanwhile, Penn Hills came up short against Woodland Hills on Tuesday and fell 62-52.

Penn Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Indiana, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Indiana lost to Penn Hills at home by a decisive 80-65 margin when the teams last played back in January. Can the Little Indians avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
