It's playoff time, and Shawsheen Valley Tech had no trouble coming through when it counted. They were the clear victors by a 28-7 margin over the St. Mary's Spartans on Friday. Considering the Rams have won eight contests by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Shawsheen Valley Tech's win bumped their record up to 10-0. As for St. Mary's, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-4.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Shawsheen Valley Tech will face off against North Reading at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Hornets' defense has only allowed 13.3 points per game this season, so the Rams' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for St. Mary's, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Bishop Fenwick at 10:00 a.m. on the 27th.
