Football Game Preview: Ballard Beavers vs. Bishop Blanchet Bears

Ballard is 1-6 against Bishop Blanchet since October of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Beavers will face off against the Bears at 7:00 p.m. Ballard has given up an average of 39.5 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Ballard's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against O'Dea on Thursday. They took a blow against the Fighting Irish, falling 48-0. While losing is never fun, the Beavers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington football rankings (they are ranked 149th, while the Fighting Irish are ranked fourth).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Bishop Blanchet, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Garfield 48-8. That 40 point margin sets a new team best for the Bears this season.

With the win, Bishop Blanchet broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-4. As for Ballard, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.

Ballard couldn't quite finish off Bishop Blanchet in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 and fell 34-32. Can the Beavers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
