            Basketball Recap: LaFayette Ramblers vs. Calhoun Yellow Jackets        
        
		
        
        
            After soaring to 59  points the game before, LaFayette was a bit more limited  in their  contest  on Friday. They were dealt  a  57-27 defeat at the hands of the Calhoun Yellow Jackets. The  game marked the Ramblers' lowest-scoring  match so far this season.
 Calhoun found their leader in freshman  Trace Hawkins, who  went 5-for-12  on his way to 15  points and four  steals. That's the most  steals  Hawkins has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of  Trey Perkins, who  put up seven points and 13  boards.
LaFayette has  been struggling recently as they've  lost four of their last five contests,  which has put a noticeable dent in their 14-13 record  this season. As for Calhoun, the  win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 18-3.
 LaFayette wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  matchup,  a  51-41  loss against Northwest Whitfield on the 15th. As for Calhoun, they also  didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  game,  a  61-48  victory against Adairsville on the 15th.
