Soccer Game Preview: South Anchorage vs. Dimond

The South Anchorage Wolverines will square off against the Dimond Lynx at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. South Anchorage is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

South Anchorage is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They never let Wasilla get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory. Considering South Anchorage have won 12 games by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Dimond faced Colony in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Lynx came out on top in a nail-biter against the Knights, sneaking past 1-0. The win continues a trend for Dimond in their matchups with Colony: they've now won nine in a row.

Dimond's victory bumped their record up to 18-1-1. As for South Anchorage, their win bumped their record up to 15-0-1.

South Anchorage skirted past Dimond 1-0 in their previous matchup two weeks ago. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolverines since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
