Volleyball Recap: Academy for Academic Excellence Victorious

The Academy for Academic Excellence Knights beat the Norton Science & Language Academy Rockets 3-1 on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Knights.

In the three sets Academy for Academic Excellence was on fire: they won each by at least 13 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 13-25, 25-9, 25-12.

Brin Bryant paced Academy for Academic Excellence's offense, picking up 16 kills. Bryant got some help from Colbie Tworek and her 26 assists. Tworek was also solid from the service line: she led the team with 12 aces.

Academy for Academic Excellence's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Norton Science & Language Academy, they dropped their record down to 0-2 with the loss, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Academy for Academic Excellence didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Aquinas on the 15th. As for Norton Science & Language Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Calvary Baptist on the 18th.
