Basketball Recap: Brookwood Comes Up Short

Brookwood lost against Paul W. Bryant back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Brookwood Panthers were beaten by the Paul W. Bryant Stampede 65-26. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 258th, while the Stampede are ranked 107th).

Brookwood has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season. As for Paul W. Bryant, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-9.

Brookwood and Paul W. Bryant's offenses will be put to the test in their next games. Brookwood will challenge Northridge at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, a squad that's only allowed 29.82 points per game. Meanwhile, Paul W. Bryant and Central (who has only given up 27.86 points per game) will meet at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
