Soccer Recap: Heritage Victorious

Heritage proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by three) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Adairsville Tigers 1-0. Heritage wouldn't have won without Zoie St.John, who scored the game-winner.

Heritage is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those four matches. Adairsville moved to 8-2 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Heritage will welcome Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe at 5:00 p.m. on the 28th. As for Adairsville, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Adairsville take on Ridgeland at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. They are facing Ridgeland at the right time seeing as Ridgeland is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
