Basketball Recap: Arrowhead Christian Academy Starts Season with Victory at Home

Arrowhead Christian Academy took care of business in their home opener on Monday. They strolled past Flagstaff Christian with points to spare, taking the game 36-22.

Arrowhead Christian Academy was led to victory by Tristin McLaughlin and Joshua Eberhardt. McLaughlin dropped a double-double with 18 points and 18 boards, while Eberhardt dropped a double-double with ten points and 12 rebounds. McLaughlin is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down 11 or more in each of the last three games he's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Benji Torres, who posted three points in addition to seven steals and six rebounds.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Arrowhead Christian Academy is headed away from home for the first time to take on Our Lady of the Sun Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Eagles' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Flagstaff Christian, they will challenge Telesis Prep at 5:00 p.m. on December 4.
