Baseball Recap: Friday's Victory Is Barron's Tenth in Last 12 Outings

Barron hadn't done well against Spooner recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Golden Bears came out on top against the Rails by a score of 6-3. For the Golden Bears, this counts as revenge for the 12-2 win the Rails walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Barron has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-4-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.2 runs over those games. As for Spooner, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-3.

Coming up, Barron will take on Cumberland at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Spooner, they will challenge Bloomer at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Rails have won four straight at home, while the Blackhawks won six straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
