Norwell came tearing into Thursday's contest with 11 straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the DeKalb Barons 3-0. This was payback for the Knights, who suffered a 3-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-13, 25-17.

Macie Saalfrank paced Norwell's offense, picking up nine kills. Saalfrank got some help from Emma Vachon and her 27 assists. Vachon was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

Norwell's record now sits at 22-3. As for DeKalb, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-15.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Norwell will venture away from home to challenge Adams Central at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for DeKalb, they will square off against Garrett at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
