Basketball Recap: Smithville's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Smithville had won three straight games and Mikayla Wall did her part to make it four on Tuesday. The Smithville Seminoles blew past the Houlka Wildcats, posting a 47-10 win thanks in part to Wall, who went 5 of 9 en route to 15 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals. The contest was her third in a row with at least 15 points.

Sophie Hass was another key player, dropping a double-double with 14 points and ten boards. She is becoming a predictor of Smithville's success: when she posts at least eight rebounds the team is 7-3 (and 5-6 when she doesn't).

Smithville's victory bumped their record up to 12-9. As for Houlka, they are on a 15-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-19.

Smithville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 52-46 defeat against Tremont on the 30th. As for Houlka, they have also already played their next matchup, a 76-25 loss against Jumpertown on the 31st.
