Volleyball Game Preview: Lemont Lemont HS vs. Argo Argonauts

The Lemont Lemont HS will head out to face off against the Argo Argonauts at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Argo will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: Lemont extended their winning streak to four on Tuesday. The Lemont HS came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against Richards.

Lemont had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 25-22, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Argo posted their closest win since March 28th on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out Stagg 2-1. The victory was nothing new for the Argonauts as they're now sitting on four straight.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Argo who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 25-21, 24-26, 25-21.

Lemont's win bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Argo, they pushed their record up to 11-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.
