Basketball Recap: Seaman Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Seaman and Valley Center squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Seaman had to settle for second. They took a 68-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Valley Center Hornets. The Vikings were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Hornets earlier this season, when they won 61-55.

Valley Center's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Doc Needham, who posted 16 points. That's the most points Needham has posted since back in December of 2023. Colby J newton was another key player, putting up 14 points.

Seaman has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-8 record this season. The victory made it two in a row for Valley Center and bumps their season record up to 11-10.

Seaman does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Valley Center, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, an 81-54 defeat against West on the 8th.
