Volleyball Recap: Union Grove Takes a Loss

Union Grove was the 2-1 winner over Hartford when they last played one another on Saturday, but their luck changed this time around. The Broncos fell just short of the Orioles by a score of 2-1 on Saturday.

Hartford found their leader in sophomore Lydia Krasselt, who had five digs and two aces. Krasselt also set a new season-high mark in assists with 19. Kora Kirsch was another key player, getting 14 digs.

Union Grove has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season. As for Hartford, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.

Union Grove will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Westosha Central at 7:00 p.m. on the 23rd. As for Hartford, they will face off against Cedarburg at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Orioles surely won't give up without a fight.
