Baseball Recap: St. Stanislaus Comes Up Short

St. Stanislaus and Wesson squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but St. Stanislaus had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Cobras by a score of 2-1. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Rock-a-Chaws couldn't push the score so high this time.

St. Stanislaus' defeat dropped their record down to 18-12. As for Wesson, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Wesson beat St. Stanislaus by a score of 2-1 on Saturday.
