Basketball Recap: Campolindo Takes a Loss

Campolindo was the 66-42 winner over Weston Ranch when they last played one another back in December of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. The Campolindo Cougars took a 53-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Weston Ranch Cougars on Tuesday. The contest marked Campolindo's lowest-scoring match so far this season.

When it comes to explaining why Campolindo lost, don't look at Gavin Rendle. Despite the final result, he went 6 of 13 en route to 16 points. Another player making a difference was Luke Devine, who posted six points and eight rebounds.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Weston Ranch to victory, but perhaps none more so than Josh Banks, who had 11 points in addition to six boards and three steals. That's the most boards Banks has posted since back in January of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Damien Rease, who put up eight points.

Campolindo is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-4. As for Weston Ranch, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-7.

Campolindo wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 92-14 win against Mt. Diablo on the 8th. As for Weston Ranch, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 74-61 defeat against Liberty on the 9th.
