Volleyball Recap: Tuesday's Win Is Basic's 12th in Last 14 Outings

Basic won the last time they faced Rancho and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Wolves came out on top against the Rams by a score of 3-1.

Basic had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 14-25, 25-20, 25-8, 25-18.

Basic was led to victory by Derek Dennett and Ammon Petty. Dennett had four digs and three aces, while Petty had 16 assists. Those three aces gave Dennett a new career-high.

Basic has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-10 record this season. As for Rancho, their defeat was their seventh straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-11.

Basic didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Bishop Gorman on the 24th. As for Rancho, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Eldorado on the 24th.
