Baseball Game Preview: Fort Bend Marshall Buffalos vs. Victoria West Warriors

The Fort Bend Marshall Buffalos will head out to challenge the Victoria West Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Fort Bend Marshall has now lost eight straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since February 28.

Fort Bend Marshall lost 15-2 to Victoria East on Friday.

Meanwhile, it may have taken ten innings to finish the job, but Victoria West ultimately got the result they hoped for two weeks ago. They had just enough and edged out Victoria East 4-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Warriors have posted against the Titans since April 16, 2021.

Evan Waters and Jay Guerrero did most of the damage at the plate: Waters scored two runs while going 2-for-4, while Guerrero got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI.

Victoria West has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.7 runs over those games. As for Fort Bend Marshall, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-9.
