            Baseball Recap: Sage Creek Bobcats vs. Poway Titans        
        
		
        
        
            Sage Creek proved they can win big  last Wednesday (they won by 12) and  on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  3-1  win over the Poway Titans. The Bobcats haven't had any issues with the Titans recently, as the game was their third consecutive  victory against them.

 Josh Schutz spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up seven Ks. He also  tossed  no  walks, which is notable because Sage Creek is 3-1 when he allows at  most  one  walk, but 4-5 otherwise.
 On the hitting side, Sage Creek saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Cam Ramirez, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-3.  Danny O'Bryan also deserves some recognition as  he  brought in his first  RBI of the season.
Sage Creek now  has a winning record of 7-6. As for Poway, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.
 Coming up, Sage Creek will take on El Camino at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Bobcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 6.9  runs per game this season. As for Poway, they are taking a road trip to  face off against Bonita Vista  at 10:30  a.m.  on Saturday.
