Bridgeport came tearing into Wednesday's match with seven straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Robert C. Byrd Eagles. That's the fourth time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 3-2 victory on Monday.

Bridgeport took Robert C. Byrd into a fifth set where they got it done with a four-point win. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-13, 25-21, 24-26, 15-11.

Taylor Randolph paced Bridgeport's offense, picking up 14 kills. Randolph got some help from Addison Veigel and her 23 assists. Veigel also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Sam Martin, each putting up three.

Bridgeport's record is now 32-11-5. As for Robert C. Byrd, their loss dropped their record down to 15-17.
