Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Tate Dudley and Sophia Lopez Lead Hilliard Bradley to Victory

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Hilliard Bradley walked away with it. They blew past the Hayes Pacers 48-26 on Wednesday. The Jaguars have beaten the Pacers the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Pacers has come to flipping the script.

Hilliard Bradley was led to victory by Sophia Lopez and Tate Dudley. Lopez posted nine points and three steals, while Dudley scored ten points in addition to eight boards and six assists. Those six assists gave Dudley a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Hayley Hile, who earned eight points.

They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Hilliard Bradley was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive matches.

Hilliard Bradley now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Hayes, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 12-11.

Looking ahead, Hilliard Bradley will face off against Olentangy at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Olentangy will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Hilliard Bradley surely won't give up without a fight. Hayes does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
