Volleyball Recap: Cypress Centurions vs. Santiago Sharks

With a playoff game on the line, Cypress rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Santiago Sharks. The victory was nothing new for the Centurions as they're now sitting on four straight.

The final score came out to 25-23, 25-23, 20-25, 25-21.

Despite the defeat, Santiago saw an underclassman step up: Kadence Choe had six digs and two aces. Choe is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 16 or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Celah McKee, who had eight digs and two aces.

Cypress has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 17-13 record this season. As for Santiago, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 13-10.

Cypress will challenge St. Margaret's at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Santiago does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
