Softball Game Preview: Bulkeley Bulldogs vs. Civic Leadership Eagles

The Bulkeley Bulldogs will square off against the Civic Leadership Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

Bulkeley is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Hartford Public with a sharp 33-20 win on Monday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Bulldogs as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

The team relied heavily on Zorangely Molina, who went 4-for-6 with nine RBI, three runs, and one double. That double was her first of the season. Aaliyah Rodriguez was another key player, getting on base in five of her six plate appearances with four runs and three RBI.

Bulkeley was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .406. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Civic Leadership challenged Academy of Science and Innovation on Tuesday. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 14-5 margin over the Ravens. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Ravens recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Bulkeley's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Civic Leadership, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
