Volleyball Game Preview: Collins Warriors vs. Chicago Marshall Commandos

The Collins Warriors are taking a road trip to square off against the Chicago Marshall Commandos at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.

Collins is leaving town to face Chicago Marshall after disappointing their home crowd in their season opener. The Warriors fell 2-0 to Foreman on Wednesday. The loss continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Hornets: they've now lost four in a row.

While Collins ultimately came up short, they really made Foreman work, particularly in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 27-25.

Meanwhile, Chicago Marshall had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over Orr on Wednesday. The win continues a trend for the Commandos in their matchups with the Spartans: they've now won four in a row.

Chicago Marshall never let Orr on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-14.

Collins beat Chicago Marshall 2-0 when the teams last played back in April of 2025. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
