Softball Recap: Racine Case Starts off Right with Win over Shoreland Lutheran

Racine Case gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Shoreland Lutheran Pacers, sneaking past 4-3. For the Eagles, this counts as revenge for the 5-3 win the Pacers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Nora Lowney spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on five hits and racked up 11 Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on McKynna Szymandera, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and one run. Another player making a difference was Olivia Lowney, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Shoreland Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Racine Case will welcome Franklin at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be Racine Case's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Shoreland Lutheran, they will square off against Cudahy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
