Abundant Life/St. Ambrose Academy had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They had to suffer through a 43-8 loss at the hands of the Almond-Bancroft Eagles. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Abundant Life/St. Ambrose Academy has suffered since September 6, 2024.

Samuel Hineline and Anthony Ellingson certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Hineline gained 123 total yards and a touchdown, while Ellingson rushed for 42 yards. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 60 yards.

Coming up, Abundant Life/St. Ambrose Academy will square off against Wisconsin Heights at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Almond-Bancroft, they will face off against Marion/Tigerton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup will give the Eagles their first taste of in-conference action this season.
