Softball Preview: Robinson Bulldogs vs. Central Cabarrus Vikings

Robinson is 0-10 against Central Cabarrus since March of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Robinson Bulldogs will head out on the road to challenge the Central Cabarrus Vikings at 5:30 p.m. Robinson is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.

Aniyah Jones made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off ten hits (and only one walk). She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits (she also didn't allow any walks). Rezy was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Rachel Pressley, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Emma Salter, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Robinson's record now sits at 4-6. As for Central Cabarrus, their record is now 7-2.
