Ansley/Litchfield had won five straight games and Garittee Smith did her part to make it six on Thursday. The Spartans came out on top against the Anselmo-Merna Coyotes by a score of 2-0 thanks in part to Smith, who had 13 digs and two aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 13 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Ansley/Litchfield easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-15.

Ansley/Litchfield's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Anselmo-Merna, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.

Ansley/Litchfield has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Twin Loup on the 4th. As for Anselmo-Merna, they will venture away from home to face off against Pleasanton on Tuesday.
