Christian Educational Consortium triumphant thanks to a strong effort from Nathan Johnson

Recap: Christian Educational Consortium Cougars vs. Bluegrass Blazers

The Christian Educational Consortium Cougars had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with an 83-72 victory over Bluegrass on Saturday. The win was just what Christian Educational Consortium needed coming off of a 83-55 loss in their prior matchup.

Nathan Johnson was his usual excellent self, scoring 30 points along with nine assists and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Hunter Fleming, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds.

Christian Educational Consortium's win bumped their record up to 10-12. As for Bluegrass, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Christian Educational Consortium will face off against Louisville Saints HomeSchool at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Louisville Saints HomeSchool's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Christian Educational Consortium has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road. As for Bluegrass, they will challenge Tennessee Heat on Tuesday. Tennessee Heat is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games.
