Basketball Game Preview: South Park Burros vs. Center Vikings

South Park hasn't had much luck against Center recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The South Park Burros will head out to challenge the Center Vikings at 4:00 p.m.

South Park is headed into Saturday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Tuesday. The match between them and Clear Creek didn't end well, with South Park falling 50-33. The Burros were down 39-17 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

While Center didn't have the best season last year (they finished 3-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They put the hurt on Rocky Ford with a sharp 58-37 win on Saturday. The Vikings have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 21 points or more this season.

Center's victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-3. As for South Park, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

South Park came up short against Center in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 56-49. Can South Park avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
