Basketball Recap: Seacrest Country Day Comes Up Short

Seacrest Country Day lost against First Baptist Academy back in November and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Seacrest Country Day Stingrays were outmatched by the First Baptist Academy Lions and fell 67-39. While losing is never fun, the Stingrays can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 399th, while the Lions are ranked 90th).

Despite the loss, Seacrest Country Day still got an impressive performance from Fedor Vuksanovic, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayden Fuller, who posted seven points and five rebounds.

Seacrest Country Day's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for First Baptist Academy, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-0.

Seacrest Country Day will take on Lely in a holiday battle at at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Lely's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five contests. As for First Baptist Academy, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the First Baptist Academy Lions face off against the East Lee County Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. First Baptist Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
