Baseball Recap: Kings Mountain's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak at Home

Kings Mountain fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Crest on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Chargers by a score of 7-5. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Chargers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-3 on Tuesday.

Carter Roberts made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

Kings Mountain's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-10. As for Crest, their victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kings Mountain will square off against South Point at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Mountaineers are facing the Red Raiders at the right time seeing as the Red Raiders are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Crest, they will take on Forestview at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
