Basketball Game Preview: Chase Trojans vs. Hendersonville Bearcats

Chase is 0-7 against Hendersonville since January of 2022 but things could change on Friday. The Chase Trojans will head out on the road to square off against the Hendersonville Bearcats at 7:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Chase is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 14th straight game on Tuesday. The matchup between them and East Rutherford didn't end well, with Chase falling 81-65. One positive for the Trojans, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Hendersonville entered their tilt with Polk County on Tuesday with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. They took their game with ease, bagging an 81-49 win over the Wolverines. The Bearcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 20 points or more this season.

Hendersonville's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-6. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 89.0 points per game. As for Chase, their loss dropped their record down to 1-18.

Chase took a serious blow against Hendersonville in their previous meeting on January 7th, falling 101-29. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Chase was down 72-19.
