Baseball Recap: Colbert's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to 14

Colbert waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with 13 straight wins... but they left with 14. They never let the Pocola Indians get on the board and left with a 5-0 victory. The Leopards' pitching crew has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a run in their last four contests.

Colbert's win was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-6. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Pocola, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-14 record this season.

Colbert didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 16-0 win against Stratford on the 8th. Hopefully Pocola paid attention to the Leopards' contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Leopards on Friday.
