Baseball Game Preview: KIPP King Lions vs. Impact Academy of Arts & Technology Spartans

The KIPP King Lions will take on the Impact Academy of Arts & Technology Spartans at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. KIPP King will be strutting in after a win while Impact Academy of Arts & Technology will be coming in after a defeat.

Last Friday, KIPP King got the win against Aspire Richmond Ca. College Preparatory Academy by a conclusive 13-7. The victory continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Grizzlies: they've now won three in a row.

Diego Parada was a standout: he scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Juan Huerta, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Meanwhile, Impact Academy of Arts & Technology unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against Mare Island Tech Academy on March 5th, falling 21-1.

KIPP King's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Impact Academy of Arts & Technology, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.

KIPP King took their victory against Impact Academy of Arts & Technology in their previous meeting back in March of 2019 by a conclusive 11-1. Will KIPP King repeat their success, or does Impact Academy of Arts & Technology has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
