Baseball Recap: Red Bank Comes Up Short

Red Bank lost against Anderson County back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Lions fell 6-2 to the Mavericks. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Red Bank saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Anyer Alvarez, who went 1-for-3 with one home run. Andry Briceno also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Red Bank now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Anderson County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.

Red Bank will welcome McCallie at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Anderson County, they will face off against Maryville Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Mavericks are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
