Soccer Game Preview: Rigby vs. Highland

The Rigby Trojans will take on the Highland Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Highland took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Rigby, who comes in off a win.

Rigby took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over Madison. The victory was some much needed relief for Rigby as it spelled an end to their three-match losing streak.

Kelton Bowcutt and Ethan Butler scored both of Rigby's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 12 goals.

Meanwhile, Highland faced Thunder Ridge in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Rams fell just short of the Titans by a score of 2-1. Highland have struggled against Thunder Ridge recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Rigby's win bumped their record up to 8-5-1. As for Highland, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-3-1.
