Preview: Christ School Greenies vs. Carolina Day Wildcats

Christ School is 9-1 against Carolina Day since January of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Christ School Greenies will head out on the road to take on the Carolina Day Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. One thing working in Christ School's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five games.

Christ School pushed their score all the way to 57 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Covenant Day 63-57.

Despite their defeat, Christ School saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Keenan Wilkins, who scored 20 points along with two blocks, was perhaps the best of all. Wilkins hasn't dropped below 15points for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Jamari Briggs, who scored ten points along with five assists.

Meanwhile, Carolina Day's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 74-44 defeat at the hands of Wando. While losing is never fun, Carolina Day can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 472nd in North Carolina, while Wando is ranked 46th in South Carolina).

Christ School's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-5. As for Carolina Day, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.

Everything came up roses for Christ School against Carolina Day in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 as the squad secured a 83-33 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Christ School since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
