Norwell is 9-1 against Mississinewa since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Knights are taking a road trip to take on the Indians at 5:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
On Monday, Norwell made easy work of Marion and carried off a 12-2 win. The victory continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Giants: they've now won five in a row.

Norwell got a great performance from Ryne Thornton as he struck out eight batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. That's the most strikeouts Thornton has posted since back in May of 2024.
At the plate, Drew Graft was incredible, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Randol, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3.
Norwell always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .590. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Marion only posted an OBP of .321.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mississinewa). They skirted past Southern Wells 11-9. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Indians with their most commanding win of the season.
Bryson Vasquez was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). Vasquez was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season.
In other batting news, Merric Mobley and Lio Matamoros did most of the damage at the plate: Mobley scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances, while Matamoros scored two runs and stole a base. Ah'Lijah Monday also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Norwell pushed their record up to 2-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. The team's perfect season has a lot to do with their hitting performance: the team's won by an average of 8.8 runs thus far. As for Mississinewa, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Norwell couldn't quite get it done against Mississinewa when the teams last played back in May of 2024 as they fell 14-10. Can the Knights avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
