Basketball Recap: Rodriguez Skates Past Bradshaw Christian with Ease

Rodriguez picked up another tournament win on Friday. They took their game with ease, bagging an 87-42 win over the Bradshaw Christian Pride. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Rodriguez had a senior duo take command as Jermaine 'Megatron' Missouri dropped a triple-double with 28 points, 16 boards, and ten steals and Mason Adimora dropped a double-double with 31 points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Missouri has scored all season. Khamanni Martin was another key player, putting up six points and three steals.

Rodriguez was working as a unit and finished the game with 24 assists. They racked up ten more assists than Bradshaw Christian's also-impressive total of 14.

Despite the loss, Bradshaw Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Swazy Lewis went 5-for-8 to rack up 10 points and three steals. Lewis is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 57% in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Carson Fitzpatrick, who posted 11 points.

Rodriguez has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.2 points over those games. As for Bradshaw Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season.

Rodriguez wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 74-31 win against Pitman on the 13th. As for Bradshaw Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 74-54 victory against Cordova on the 13th.
