Soccer Game Preview: Manning vs. Edisto

The Manning Monarchs will square off against the Edisto Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Having struggled with 12 losses in a row, Manning turned things around against Calhoun County on Friday. They blew past the Saints 7-2. That five goal margin sets a new team best for Manning this season.

Despite a strong season so far, Edisto has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They fell 7-5 to North Charleston on Monday.

Edisto's defeat dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Manning, their win bumped their record up to 3-16.

Manning suffered a grim 4-1 defeat to Edisto in their previous matchup back in February. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Monarchs were down 4-1.
