Basketball Recap: Nantucket Takes a Loss

Nantucket suffered their biggest loss since March 5, 2024 on Thursday. They were beaten by the Bourne Canalmen 91-63. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Saturday (59), the Whalers still had to take the loss.

Nantucket's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Bourne, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-1.

Nantucket will face off against Martha's Vineyard Regional at 1:45 p.m. on Saturday. As for Bourne, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 69-61 win against Seekonk on the 31st.
