Soccer Recap: Charleston Collegiate Takes a Loss

After soaring to five goals the game before, Charleston Collegiate was a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They came up short against the St. John's Islanders, falling 6-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against St. John's this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-0 back in March.

Charleston Collegiate's goal came courtesy of Lawson Hughes, who's now up to three this season.

Charleston Collegiate's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for St. John's, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-6.

Charleston Collegiate has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Thomas Sumter Academy on the 2nd. As for St. John's, they will welcome Baptist Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
