Basketball Recap: Warrensburg-Latham Comes Up Short

Warrensburg-Latham was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Clinton Maroons, falling 56-31. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 404th, while the Maroons are ranked 168th).

Warrensburg-Latham's defeat dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Clinton, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 15 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Central A & M the next time they take the court. Warrensburg-Latham will head out to face Central A & M at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, while Clinton will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
