Football Game Preview: Altus Bulldogs vs. Marshall Bears

The Altus Bulldogs will challenge the Marshall Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Altus has five straight victories, Marshall has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Friday, Altus humbled Western Heights with a 50-6 victory. That looming 50-6 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Bulldogs yet this season.

Altus found their leader in freshman Jeymon Reed, who threw for 180 yards and four touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes. Reed has been hot recently, having posted four or more passing touchdowns the last three times he's played.

Meanwhile, Marshall came up short against Lawton on Friday and fell 30-18.

Altus' win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Marshall, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Altus took their victory against Marshall in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 41-20 score. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Bears have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
