Baseball Recap: St. Anthony Find Success

On Tuesday St. Anthony's undefeated season almost came to an end. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the St. Joseph-Ogden Spartans.

Brady Hatton made a big impact no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. Hatton was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. That home run was his first of the season.

Hatton wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Brock Fearday, who went 2-for-4 with one RBI. That RBI marked the first that Fearday brought in this season. Henry Brent was another, scoring two runs while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

St. Anthony's record now sits at 4-0. As for St. Joseph-Ogden, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Looking ahead, St. Anthony will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Breese Central at 11:00 a.m. As for St. Joseph-Ogden, they are taking a road trip to face off against Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. St. Joseph-Ogden's pitchers better be ready for this one: Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin has averaged an impressive 7 runs per game this season.
