Baseball Recap: Oakridge Triumphs

Oakridge saw some tournament action on Thursday. They came out on top against the Coram Deo Academy Lions by a score of 15-12. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Owls.

The team relied heavily on Brayden Collins, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Heston Alana, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

Oakridge always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .622. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .571 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

Oakridge now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Coram Deo Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Oakridge will take on Dallas Christian in a tournament on Thursday. As for Coram Deo Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Shelton at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
