The Argenta-Oreana Bombers will head out to take on the Villa Grove Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Argenta-Oreana is likely headed into the game with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Madison on Friday. The Bombers fell 28-21 to the Trojans. The Bombers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Villa Grove). They never let Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] get on the board and left with a 21-0 victory on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Blue Devils in their matchups with the Titans: they've now won five in a row.

Villa Grove now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Argenta-Oreana, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Argenta-Oreana was able to grind out a solid victory over Villa Grove in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, winning 28-21. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Blue Devils' Noah Wilcoxon, who rushed for 66 yards and one TD, and also picked up 46 receiving yards and one score.
